Eyelash Extensions<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Eyelash extensions are a way to extend the length and thickness of your natural lashes. Not to be confused with self-stick strip false lashes or individual clusters of lashes knotted together that are a single-event accessory, our semi-permanent extensions are adhered one by one onto the natural lashes using a specially formulated adhesive that lasts a number of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our extensions are very comfortable to wear and are so lightweight that you won’t even be able to feel you are wearing them. The look and feel is completely natural looking and real \u2013 every one will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eyelash extensions are applied while you are lying down with your eyes closed on a comfy beauty bed for between 1 \u2013 2 hours. After cleansing and priming your lashes, your bottom lashes are protected with eye pads and then lash extensions are applied one by one with medical-grade eyelash extension adhesive. A single natural eyelash is isolated and a synthetic lash is glued to the top of your own natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid, so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin. It is a very relaxing, non-invasive procedure and many clients fall asleep!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyelash Extension Techniques<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Classic Eyelash Extensions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Classic lashes are the original method of eyelash extensions \u2013 one extension is applied to each natural lash, creating a natural\/mascara look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hybrid Eyelash Extensions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hybrid lashes combine both classic and volume techniques in one set of lashes creating a non-uniform, textured look with a density somewhere in the middle of the two styles. A 50\/50 mixture of classic and volume lashes are used to create a look that is fuller than classic but not as full as volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mega Volume Eyelash Extensions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mega volume lashes give the most dramatic look possible, with between 9 \u2013 15 extremely fine lashes being applied in a fan on to each natural lash, creating a very dark and full look. The lashes used are even finer than regular volume lashes which means they still feel lightweight and it is safe to apply up to 15 on to one natural lash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Styling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We pride ourselves on styling to offer our clients their own bespoke look. We do this by assessing the client’s eye and face shape to create their perfect style, while carefully selecting suitable lengths and thicknesses of extensions in order not to harm the natural lashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We style your lashes in several different ways:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Technique (Classic, Volume, Hybrid or Mega Volume)<\/li>
  2. Thickness (ranging from 0.03mm \u2013 0.18mm diameter)<\/li>
  3. Curl (B, C, CC or D)<\/li>
  4. Length (ranging from 6 \u2013 16mm)<\/li>
  5. Style (Natural, Dolly, Kitten or Cat)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Half Set vs Full Set<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Eyelash extensions can either be applied as a Full Set (100% coverage of the natural lashes) or a Half Set (60% coverage). The difference between the two sets lies in the density of lashes applied. A full set takes longer to apply as more extensions are used and will, therefore, look fuller and last longer than a half set and need infills less frequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Infills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Your natural lashes grow, so they will need a maintenance appointment after a few weeks. At an infill, outgrown extensions are removed and the extensions that naturally shed with your natural lashes are replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please schedule your infill appointments every 2 \u2013 3 weeks to maintain your eyelash extensions. Our maximum time limit for infills is 4 weeks \u2013 anything over 4 weeks is considered a full set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Infills can be booked by time (e.g. 45 mins, 1 hour, 1 hour 15 mins) depending on the time it has been since your last appointment and the amount of lashes you have left on. The more time you book, the more lashes will be applied and the fuller result you will get. To maintain a fuller look you may wish to consider more frequent infill appointments or booking a longer infill time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please note this is just a guideline \u2013 retention depends on your aftercare and natural lash cycle.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Infill (1 hour) \u2013 Recommended at 2 weeks<\/li>
    • Infill (1 hour 15 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 3 weeks<\/li>
    • Infill (1 hour 30 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 3 \u2013 4 weeks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Hybrid\/Volume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      • Infill (45 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 1 week<\/li>
      • Infill (1 hour) \u2013 Recommended at 1 \u2013 2 weeks<\/li>
      • Infill (1 hour 15 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 2 weeks<\/li>
      • Infill (1 hour 30 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 3 weeks<\/li>
      • Infill (1 hour 45 mins) \u2013 Recommended at 3 \u2013 4 weeks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Aftercare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        The first 24 hours<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Eyelash adhesive takes 24 hours to completely dry, so the first 24 hours are the most important time to ensure that your lashes will last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Do not get your extensions wet.
          Exposing your new extensions to any moisture, including steam (e.g. hot steamy shower, sauna, jacuzzi, facial steamer, hot steam when opening an oven door), will cause your extensions to fall out prematurely.<\/li>
        • Do not use sunbeds.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Keep your lashes clean<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          Don’t wear mascara on your extensions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          Wearing mascara on your extensions will cause them to fall out prematurely. Also if you have volume lashes, applying mascara will cause the volume fans to close and they will lose their fullness and resemble classic lashes. The beauty of eyelash extensions is that there is no need to wear mascara! If you want to wear mascara on your lower lashes make sure it is non-waterproof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Wash your extensions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          Washing your extensions a few times a week helps to keep them looking fresh and last longer. It’s super easy and only takes a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Here’s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Pump a gentle foaming lash cleanser (which can be purchased at our salon) on to the cleansing brush that comes inside the box.<\/li>
          2. Gently work the foam into the lashes.<\/li>
          3. Rinse with water.<\/li>
          4. Pat eyes dry.<\/li>
          5. Brush your lashes with a mascara wand to make them neat and fluffy again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Other tips to maintain your extensions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Oil breaks down eyelash extension glue. Therefore keep oil-based products away from your extensions and limit the use of oily products on your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Use oil-free eye make-up remover.<\/li>
            • Brush your extensions daily to keep them looking neat.<\/li>
            • Do not pick or pull your extensions as this will pull your natural lashes out.<\/li>
            • Do not rub your eyes.<\/li>
            • Avoid sleeping on your face.<\/li>
            • Choose a felt tip or pencil eyeliner rather than liquid or gel.<\/li>
            • When removing make-up with anything other than foaming lash cleanser, work around your lashes and don’t wipe over them.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
